History of Present Illness
Mr. Nai brings his 15-month-old son into your clinic because of right eye swelling that has been present for more than 1 week. Kenny had been healthy until 2 weeks ago when he contracted bilateral conjunctivitis. Several days after completing a 5-day course of gentamycin ophthalmic solution, Kenny's right eye began to swell until swollen shut. He was seen in an emergency room 2 days ago with symptoms thought to be consistent with a possible allergic reaction to the gentamycin eye drops.
