On his 1968 album, "the transformed Man," William Shatner included a misguided version of "Mr. Tambourine Man." His vocals have been the butt of jokes ever since. Then Ben Folds, the modern piano rocker, sent him a letter asking him to "sing" again. Shatner's kids persuaded him to do it. "They were aghast that I would not know who Ben was," he says.
