Jan. 28 -- The Omaha World-Herald Co. said Wednesday it has agreed to sell two South Dakota newspapers, the Huron Plainsman and the Brookings Register, to News Media Corp. of Rochelle, Ill. Terms of the sale, which is to close Monday, were not disclosed.
Both newspapers publish six days a week, with the Plainsman circulating 9,200 copies and the Register 5,900 copies. The World-Herald bought the Register in 1990 and the ...
