(CONCORD) - Unlike Governor Jeanne Shaheen, state Department of Health and Human Resources Commissioner Terry Morton believes the imminent sale of Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Hampshire is good news.
The New Hampshire Blues have been offered $120 million dollars for their assets by Anthem Incorporated, an Indiana-based insurance giant.
Shaheen has joined the state Medical Society voicing concerns about the loss of the state's only non-profit health care insurer.
She said state regulators will carefully review the buyout to ensure consumers don't lose quality coverage or be hurt by decisions made by out of state executives.
