AN ARMY of volunteers across far north Queensland are braving flood waters in a bid to help protect the Great Barrier Reef from nutrient run-off which may threaten corals.
A skilled group from a network of 200 volunteers have been mobilised to measure water quality in support of research organised jointly by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority and the Queensland Department of Natural Resources.
