NEW YORK -- Regence Footwear Inc. has turned a new leaf, getting into the children's fashion market.
The Charlesbourg, Quebec-based company acquired fellow Canadian boot company Maple Leaf Inc., Montreal, on Nov. 30, in a deal that augments Regence's North American presence and marks the company's first venture into children's fashion product.
Maple Leaf manufactures children's winter boots under the brands Maple Leaf and Lunars and distributes in North America. Regence said the $1.7 million acquisition will enable the firm to upgrade the Maple Leaf lines stylistically. Regence plans to add thermoplastic rubber styles to the Regence repertoire and ...
