LONDON -- Maersk Air, Denmark's major airline, has announced that it will transfer its UK operations to the South Terminal at London Gatwick Airport, with effect from the start of the new summer schedule on March 28, 1999.

The carrier is moving from Gatwick's North Terminal where Maersk Air launched scheduled services in December 1990 linking the UK with Billund - the airline's international hub in Western Denmark - and Copenhagen, also the gateway to southern Sweden.
