Summary:The European Commission offered pledges of on-going support on February 8 to Northern Ireland's leaders who visited Brussels to secure aid for the peace process in the troubled region. European Regional Policy Commissioner Monika Wulf-Mathies told Northern Ireland's First Minister David Trimble that new measures were being examined to channel European Union grants into the province.
