PARIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 11, 1999--LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton (NASDAQ: LVMHY), the Paris-based luxury products group, today announced that the LVMH Group has submitted a proposal to the Board of Gucci NV, currently comprising eight individuals, for the addition of Monsieur Umberto Guida, as an independent director. Umberto Guida, 61, an Italian national, is a long-standing director of a major international company with significant operations in Italy.
If elected at an extraordinary general meeting, to be convoked to approve his nomination, the candidate proposed by LVMH would represent only one seat on a Board comprising nine members. The role of this ...
