I remember a nice little incident during the 1993 `Speaking Positions' Conference of the Cultural Studies Association of Australia, held at the Victoria University of Technology. As often happens at these conferences, Allen and Unwin had taken the opportunity to stage a book launch for some of their recent Cultural Studies titles.
