When the Kansas City media asked what local governments were doing about the Year 2000 (Y2K) computer problem, the city showed them.
Kansas City, Mo., and the Mid-America Regional Council (MARC) led a media tour of Y2K activities last week in Kansas City, Independence, Mo., Johnson County, Kan., Lenexa, Kan., and Overland Park, Kan.
The purpose of the tour was to demonstrate that local governments have the Y2K problem under control and are working together to find solutions.
