Diligent readers of this column may recall a debate reported here a little over two years ago as to whether research programs conducted by the National Printing Ink Research Institute (NPIRI) were furthering the interests of the ink industry and its customers.
NPIRI, an arm of the National Association of Printing Ink Manufacturers (NAPIM), is charged with conducting and/or supervising research on various ink-related problems that affect a broad spectrum of those who either make or use ink products.
