SEATTLE, Feb. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- PathoGenesis Corp. (Nasdaq: PGNS) today announced it has received marketing clearance from regulatory authorities in Canada and Argentina for TOBI(R) (tobramycin solution for inhalation). The drug is indicated for the management of cystic fibrosis patients with chronic pulmonary Pseudomonas aeruginosa infections.

Canada and Argentina represent the first markets for TOBI outside the U.S., where the drug was introduced in January 1998. TOBI is expected to be available for sale in Canada in the second quarter.
