Surface Engineered Products Corp., a subsidiary of The Westaim Corporation, today officially opened its $20-million surface engineering plant in Edmonton's Ellerslie Technology/ Industrial Park development, located at the southern entrance to the city. The new plant presently employs more than 100 workers. That number is expected to rise to approximately 300 employees during the next five years.
