ST. LOUIS, Feb. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Unigraphics Solutions Inc. (NYSE: UGS) today announced that its Solid Edge mid-range mechanical computer-aided design software has been selected to design a 20-mile long linear collider to be used by research physicists from around the world seeking answers to fundamental questions about the behavior of matter and the origins of the universe.
The Stanford Linear Accelerator Center (SLAC) will use Solid Edge to design all of the components and large assemblies of the massive research facility. SLAC has agreed to purchase a site license for 200 seats ...
