FRANKLIN PARK, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 26, 1999--Dean Foods Company today initiated a voluntary recall of less than 10,000 gallons of Dean's Country Charm Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream and Reiter's Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream. The recalled product, which was produced at the company's Belvidere, Illinois plant, contains cookie dough pieces having an egg ingredient that is not listed on the label's ingredient statement.
Individuals who have an allergy or other sensitivity to eggs could experience a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction, if they consume this product. Consumers who are not allergic to eggs are not affected ...
