Feb. 24 -- Adelphia Communications Corp.'s $2.1 billion acquisition of the nation's No. 19 cable company will include Rigas family contributions of between $188 million and $375 million, executives said Tuesday.
Adelphia, which is based in Coudersport, Pa., and is controlled by the Rigas family, announced Tuesday it has agreed to acquire FrontierVision Partners L.P. of Denver for cash, debt and stock.
The family, which also owns the Buffalo Sabres of the National Hockey League, will contribute to the deal through purchases of Adelphia common and preferred stock, Adelphia Chief Financial Officer Timothy J. ...
