DAYTON, Ohio--Day International Inc., a major manufacturer of sleeves and rolls for the offset printing industry, has acquired Germany-based Rotec Hulsensysteme GmbH to enter the flexographic printing market and expand its presence in Europe.
Before buying Rotec in mid-January, Day offered no flexographic printing products, said John Brookshier, the company's director of marketing. Day found itself unable to answer its offset printing customers' increasing requests for flexographic equipment, he said.
