Feb. 26 -- FORT WORTH, Texas -- Radio Shack filed a lawsuit against International Business Machines Corp. yesterday, claiming that IBM breached a contract when it failed to pay more than $2.2 million in sales incentives to the Fort Worth retailer.
The suit, filed yesterday in state court in Fort Worth, indicates that in August 1997, IBM agreed to pay Radio Shack $3 million as an incentive to sell IBM products.
Radio Shack, a division of Tandy Corp., contends that it could use the money in any manner it deemed appropriate. So the company said it discounted the cost of IBM computers during the key Christmas ...
