Musi: In South Sumatra near the fertilisers complex of Palembang, this refinery had been expanded in several phases to reach about 110,000 b/d in 1992 and 133,000 b/d in 1994. A further 10,000 b/d expansion raised its capacity to 143,000 b/d in early 1998. The refinery processes waxy crudes and is linked by pipeline to a number of oilfields. Dumai: On the coast of Central Sumatra, along the Straits of Malacca, Dumai is Indonesia's main oil export terminal handling Minas, Duri and other crude oils of Caltex.
