PARSIPPANY, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 9, 1999--DRS Technologies, Inc. (ASE: DRS) announced today that it has been awarded, through its DRS Electronics Systems unit in Gaithersburg, Maryland, a multiple-year contract with a not-to-exceed value of approximately $9.2 million from the U.S. Navy. For this contract, the company will provide AN/SPS-67 radar system design services to improve system performance and reliability for eight classes of surface ships, including the new DD-21 Land Attack Destroyer.
