Skill is the complex organization of physical or verbal behavior developed through learning and directed toward a particular goal or centered on a specific activity. The skills of farmers and farm women have been measured by many researchers on the basis of expressed opinions. These expressed opinions are based entirely on self-perception and, therefore, sometimes become subjective. A farm woman may perceive herself performing a given task correctly, but the procedure actually followed in doing that task may not be according to scientific recommendations.
