NEW YORK--Changing attitudes about hair care have not slowed the growth of styling aids and conditioners. In fact, even with the popularity of "two-in-one" products, consumers show no signs of losing interest in the many hair care items formulated for use after shampooing.
"Hair care profits are heavily dependent on consumers making multiple purchases," explains a senior marketing executive with one of North America's largest drug chains. He adds that sales can be helped by the manner in which products are merchandised.
