Mar. 14 -- A UKpound 1 Billion battle for Manchester United plc could be sparked by new forecasts on the future of pay-per-view TV.
A report commissioned by Premiership clubs is expected to suggest that pay-per-view revenues should add between UKpound 50 million and UKpound 100 million to Manchester United's projected annual profits.
It means that a UKpound 623 million bid by BSkyB -- currently the subject of a report by the Monopolies and Mergers Commission -- dramatically undervalues the club.
