MINNEAPOLIS, March 17 /PRNewswire/ -- During their quarterly meeting on Feb. 17, directors of the U.S. Bancorp Piper Jaffray Foundation approved 70 grants totaling $227,284 for nonprofit organizations.
The board and staff fully reviewed a high volume of grant requests -- 92 compared to 24 for the same quarter of last year. Using giving guidelines adopted by the foundation board last fall, the directors approved significant increases to several organizations that strongly address foundation priorities.
