In BW0245, (TX-MERIDIAN-RESOURCE) Announces Year-End and Fourth Quarter Results, the dates in the Condensed Consolidated Balance Sheets should be reversed. The heading above the first column should read 1998 and the heading above the second column should read 1997 (sted 1997 above the first column and 1998 above the second). The corrected table follows.
