BRAINTREE, Mass.--(BW HealthWire)--March 29, 1999--Sylvan N. Goldman Center, Oklahoma Blood Institute, one of the nation's most innovative independent blood centers, has agreed to acquire the assets of Gateway Community Blood Program (St. Louis, MO) from Haemonetics Corporation. Only one blood center operated by Haemonetics remains to be divested as a result of Haemonetics' May 1998 decision to close down its division which owned or operated blood collection centers.
