Article: Computational chemistry: an overview, and the new programs at Carleton.(Carleton University)

Carleton University's assessment of the importance of computational chemistry led to the development of three new undergraduate programs.

The award of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry this year to two theoretical scientists has focused attention on the growing field of computational chemistry. Departmental research in this field shows the diversity of problems which are being solved, using a combination of electronic structure theory, sophisticated computer codes, powerful work stations and computer graphics.
