HARWELL, United Kingdom--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 5, 1999--AEA Technology Engineering Software today released FIHR 1.5, the latest update of it's optimisation system for thermal modelling, part of the HTFS software suite for thermal design.
FIHR is an engineering tool that gives operators of refining, heavy chemical, and general hydrocarbon processes the potential to optimise processes where major changes are imposed. This includes feedstock composition changes, fuel switching; controlled turndown, and low NOx burner retrofit. More routine considerations such as minimising shut-down for de-coking are vital to overall process economics.
