Another good advertising year put 25 out of the 31 corporate page ledgers in the black (though not necessarily their bottom lines). The approximate 544 ad pages that the across-the-board Currency outset added to Conde Nast last April was the difference in making CN the "champ" among the four-or-more-title "majors"; exclude it, and the company still finished at an impressive +5.83%. American Express Publishing, which becomes a "major" this year with the inclusion of Travel & Leisure Golf, was a cumulative +10.68% due to records set by each of its established trio: Departures/Food & Wine/Travel & Leisure.
