WEST WARWICK, R.I.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 7, 1999--AMTROL Inc. today announced 1998 fourth quarter net sales of $47.2 million, an increase of $7.5 million or 18.9% compared to the fourth quarter of 1997. For the total year, sales were $202.1 million, an increase of $25.7 million or 14.6% compared to 1997. Sales in 1998, which include the results of AMTROL-ALFA Metalomecanica, S.A. ("ALFA") acquired in June 1997 and the June 1998 acquisition of Nova Wassererwarmer GmbH, are the highest in the Company's history.
