CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif., April 12 /PRNewswire/ -- TECSTAR has been awarded the world's largest contract for triple junction solar cell assemblies by Lockheed Martin Missiles and Space, Sunnyvale, CA. The assemblies will be used on Lockheed's A2100 satellite bus. TECSTAR will provide 161 kilowatts of power to LMMS through December of 2000.
The triple junction solar cells were developed by TECSTAR in conjunction with NASA and the U.S. Air Force and currently power the Deep Space 1, TRACE, and Mightysat 1 satellites.
