Company Plans to Enter Year 2000 with More Than 90% of Stores Redesigned
TROY, Mich., April 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Kmart Corporation (NYSE: KM) announced today the "Grand" opening of 131 additional refurbished Big Kmart stores on April 11 bringing the company's total to 1,376 since the roll-out began in 1996. The recently converted stores, located throughout the United States, represent an investment of approximately $79 million.
