W.W. Grainger has brought together six suppliers of diverse MRO goods and services to create a one-stop online buying center. The new site is called OrderZone.com.
"With OrderZone.com, customers place one order on one site and receive one invoice across multiple suppliers," says Richard Keyser, chairman and CEO, W.W. Grainger. OrderZone.com submits the orders to each supplier for fulfillment.
Using the site could help reduce buying costs by 10% annually, says Grainger. The site has capability for each supplier to offer customers preferred pricing. (MasterCard, Visa, and open-account billing are available.) It does not, however, at this time ...
