Article: IRAN - Shiraz Fertiliser Plant.

This is the oldest of Iran's petrochemical plants. It was brought on stream in 1963, with the foundation laid in 1958 at Marudasht, 50 km from Shiraz. It was the only complex to be expanded during the Iran-Iraq war. Following expansions completed in 1985/86 and in the more recent years, the complex now consists of the following units (design capacity in '000 t/y):
