For the second consecutive year, Philadelphia International Airport has moved ahead of other U.S. Airports in terms of passenger traffic in 1998, now ranking as the 19th busiest.

Recently released figures by Airports Council International (ACI) show that Philadelphia International Airport grew at a rate of 8.0%, serving more than 24.2 million passengers in 1998. This growth rate enabled Philadelphia to move from 21st to 19th while passing Charlotte and Honolulu in the rankings of busiest U.S. Airports.
