WASHINGTON -- Caio Koch-Weser, World Bank Managing Director, will leave the Bank at the end of April, after 26 years of service, to take up a position as State Secretary of Finance in the Federal German Government.
"We are obviously very sorry that Caio is leaving us," said World Bank Group President James D. Wolfensohn, "but we feel privileged that he has been chosen to undertake such an important task in his home country. We congratulate him, and we look forward to working very closely with him."
