Parma Community General Hospital, the only independent, acute-care community hospital left in Cuyahoga County following a wave of mergers, is stepping up efforts to emerge as a full-service provider to its patient base.
As part of a strategy to bolster services and remain independent, the hospital will break ground April 20 on a $6.5 million cancer treatment and physician office building on its campus. It's scheduled to open next spring.
