Apr. 15 -- Advanced Micro Devices Inc. on Wednesday disclosed the financial cost of its manufacturing problems at the Fab 25 factory in Austin -- a whopping $128.4 million loss for the first quarter.
In all of 1998, AMD lost $104 million, largely because of production problems.
But Chief Executive W.J. "Jerry" Sanders assured investors that production will be better this quarter.
