NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 19, 1999--

J.P. Morgan (JPM) announced today that Banco Santander Central Hispano S.A. American depositary receipts (ADRs) began trading on the NYSE under the symbol STD. The newly combined entity, known as BSCH, was created upon the statutory merger on April 17 of Banco Central Hispanoamericano, S.A. (NYSE: BCH) into Banco Santander S.A. (NYSE: STD).
