SALT LAKE CITY, April 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Myriad Genetics, Inc. (Nasdaq: MYGN) announced today that it has formed a new subsidiary, Myriad Pharmaceuticals, Inc. to develop therapeutic lead compounds for selected common diseases with large potential markets that are under-served by current therapeutic options. The new subsidiary will use drug targets discovered with the Company's protein interaction technology -- ProNet(TM) -- to identify candidates for pre-clinical development.
