INDIANAPOLIS, April 20 /PRNewswire/ -- The all-new 2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo pace car unveiled at the Chicago auto show will make history on Memorial Day weekend as the first car to pace two prestigious races in one day -- the Indianapolis 500 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 30, 1999.
According to Don Parkinson, Monte Carlo brand manager, the pace car pays tribute to the great Monte Carlo race cars throughout history.
