HARRISBURG, Pa., April 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Ridge has appointed the members of his Census 2000 Advisory Panel, to ensure a complete and accurate count of Pennsylvania residents during next year's U.S. Census.
"The census impacts our lives and our communities every day," said Community and Economic Development Secretary Sam McCullough. "Pennsylvania received $12 billion in federal funds in 1997 -- directly tied to census data. Census figures also are vital in determining Pennsylvania's representation in Congress and in drawing state legislative districts."
