WASHINGTON _ NATO marked its 50th anniversary Friday with a united declaration to relentlessly pursue its air war against Yugoslavia and a new overture to President Slobodan Milosevic to settle the conflict.
In a joint communique after a private three-hour meeting, the 19 NATO allies reiterated their determination to prevail against what they called Milosevic's ``campaign of terror'' in Kosovo.
``The strategy is not going to change,'' NATO Secretary-General Javier Solana said. ``We're going to continue, with determination, with intensification, the air campaign.''
