SAN MATEO, Calif., April 26 /PRNewswire/ -- SciClone Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq: SCLN) announced that the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has awarded the Company a $517,000 grant for its ongoing Phase 2 study of CPX, a potential "protein repair" therapy for cystic fibrosis. The grant was made under the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's Therapeutics Development Grants Program. Last year, the Food and Drug Administration awarded SciClone a $200,000 grant for Phase 2 development of CPX under the agency's Orphan Drug Grants Program.
