Apr. 26 -- A shortage of primary-care physicians in Tarrant County is making it difficult for patients to book appointments, hospital administrators and consultants say. And the problem is more pronounced in Northeast Tarrant County, where fast growth and the recent breakup of a group practice have aggravated the situation.
Dr. Gloria Anding said patients of her and her partners in the Northeast Tarrant Internal Medicine Associates group ]are waiting two to three months for an initial visit.
"We're overwhelmed with phone calls of patients who need a primary and are unable to get in," Anding said.
