Polycom and VideoServer this week are releasing new videoconferencing gear.
San Jose-based Polycom is departing from the add-more-features norm of high-tech development with its new ViewStation SP videoconferencing system, which is targeted at small and midsize businesses.
"Our users were telling us that they don't need all the features of our larger systems," says Kim Kasee, vice president of marketing for Polycom's videoconferencing division. "They wanted something simpler and smaller."
