(Nasdaq: CEPH) announced today that it has initiated clinical studies in the United States and the United Kingdom to evaluate the safety and efficacy of PROVIGIL to treat patients who suffer from excessive daytime sleepiness associated with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). Cephalon currently markets PROVIGIL in the United States, the United Kingdom and Ireland to treat the excessive daytime sleepiness associated with narcolepsy.
