NEW YORK -- A.B. Williams & Co. Inc., doing business as ABW Plastics, is installing its first extruder to reprocess scrap plastic.
The New York-based recycler formerly had other firms reprocess scrap for it to sell. Vice President Frank Grazzi said his firm is bringing the work in-house for better quality control and consistency.
ABW is spending about $1.5 million on new machinery and a second plant, in West Babylon, N.Y. It already has installed four grinders in Brooklyn and by summer will begin running a 41/2-inch Sterling extruder ...
