ORLANDO, Fla.-Call it biscuit. Call it bisque, biscotti, or linen. Call it the latest fashion statement by an industry increasingly concerned with matters of style.
And you thought stainless steel on major appliances was the latest trend.
Whatever each manufacturer chooses to name it, biscuit is no longer a secret. It's the paler version of almond that started popping up on -- perhaps we should call them "off-white goods" -- more than a year ago.
Vendors said they were responding to requests from kitchen designers. Tastes have evolved, styles have changed, and there's a demand for warm neutrals, it was said.
